Many people in Minnesota love Joe Mauer. Joe is from Saint Paul and grew up close to Highland Park Junior High. Even though he is now famous, Joe still seems to be a "regular" guy. Watch this video about Joe Mauer and talk about your favorite sports hero.

Kay Yow is my favorite sports hero. She is the NC State Women's basketball coach. She is an amazing Christian woman that gives everything she has for others. She is fighting through a second round of breast cancer right now and she is still there for her team. She is a very strong, Christ-like woman.
My favorite wrestler is Undertaker because he never lost at wrestlemania.
I like joe mauer because he is good.
My favorite sports hero is Al Jefferson because he is a great basketball player.
I like Dale Jr. because he is on the National Guard Army team and he won alot of races.
My favorite sports hero is Tiger Woods because he is an inspiration for people to become golfers all over the world.
My favorite sports hero is Kevin Garnett, because he plays with passion and has shared some of his wealth by making a big donation to Habitat for Humanity on the Oprah show. He cares more about winning than his own statistics. I'm sorry he left Minnesota, but I'm glad he's on a team where I can enjoy his talents on tv.
I honestly do not have a favorite sports hero. I'm not that into sports so I would be lieing if I had to make up one! But I respect the comments said and the reasons why they are your heros. They sound insipiring!
My favorite sports hero is Sereana Williams. She is a great tennis player who overcame poverty and the ghetto to make it on the global scene. I admire her perseverance and hard work.
My favorite sports hero is Brett Farve because he is so good.
I would have to say I have two sport heroes. One would be Dan Marino who was a Miami Dolphins Quarterback and then Phil Mickelson who is a astounding golf player, that has won the Masters! They both are huge in their sports but they are still down to earth people. They help out in their communities and do not seem stuck up because of their accomplishments.
I don't have a favorite sports hero. I like watching sports but I don't really keep up with people.
My sports hero would have to be Roberto Clemente. What he went through to get to the major leagues was astounding. He worked hard and never gave in to adversity. His family and people in his home country were poor but he never forgot about them. His life ended when he got aboard a plane to bring food to a country that had just been torn up by an earthquake. The government was trying to block any help but Clemente decided to go anyway. When the plane took off it immediately crashed leaving no survivors.
My favorite sports hero is Peyton Manning. He is my favorite because he has a good attitude.
I can relate to Jeremiah that the undertaker is one impressive sports hero. He just won the other night on TV against seven other wrestlers.
My favorite sport is basketball so I would have to say my favorite sports heroes are Michael Jordan and other famous basketball athletes!
