What did you do this past summer?
What were the favorite things you did this summer? Describe them in the order they happened and tell why what you did was fun.
Welcome parents and friends
Parents,
Welcome to our Literacy Blog. The purpose of this blog is to reinforce speech/ language and literacy goals. We will post questions that require skills needed for good language comprehension of text. Some of those include being able to sequence and summarize, predict, compare/contrast, and respond to "wh" questions like why, when and where.
For some students, we are practicing "writing without standards". We want out students to write and not feel like they are being "picked to death" for everything that is not quite right. We know that kids get better at writing by writing. For those who have more writing experience, we are asking them to edit their work or to ask for help with editing before they publish.

We do encourage adults to post comments to our questions. We know that adults will provide good language models. We also know that your comments will provide our students more opportunites for reading text.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
